The project combines warm minimalism with tactile materials and dark details. The focus is not on visual noise, but on mood: calm evenings, a slow morning routine and a space that feels like a personal retreat above the city.

Client and brief

The client is a man of middle age who spends a lot of time in Dubai and wanted:

  • a cozy apartment without excessive decoration,
  • dark accents and rich textures instead of bright colours,
  • a clear, functional layout with attention to details.

CYFR translated this request into a layered interior: light architectural base, deeper enveloping tones in key zones and soft, carefully directed light.

Palette and materials

The palette is built on warm neutrals with dark, graphic accents:

  • textured wall panels in coffee and taupe tones,
  • matte fittings and fixtures in dark metal,
  • warm wood flooring and furniture,
  • soft textiles in beige, sand and greige.

Instead of contrast through colour, the design plays with:

  • the rhythm of panels and joints,
  • the difference between matte and satin surfaces,
  • the depth of light and shadow.

This makes the interior feel both cozy and sophisticated.

Bathroom and guest WC

The bathrooms are designed as intimate, almost lounge-like spaces. Textured wall panels and large-format tiles envelop the room in warm brown tones. Hidden linear lighting along the ceiling and niches gives a soft, hotel-like glow.

Key solutions:

  • walk-in shower with flush floor and minimal hardware,
  • integrated shelf for toiletries in the same dark tone as the wall,
  • built-in mixers and shower set in matte finish,
  • clean monolithic sink block without visible joints.

In the guest WC, the same materials are used to keep the concept consistent: dark textured walls, compact sanitaryware and a monolithic vanity with backlit mirror.

Master bedroom and wardrobe

The master suite continues the idea of a cozy, calm refuge:

  • a low, soft bed on a textile base,
  • horizontal wooden panelling behind the headboard,
  • large rug that visually gathers the sleeping area,
  • blackout curtains in a warm neutral tone.

Lighting plays a key role: a linear fixture along the wall, an expressive diagonal light element and a soft round ceiling light create several scenarios – from functional to very intimate.

Behind the tinted glass partition is the wardrobe area. It feels like a small boutique:

  • open shelving with backlighting,
  • a central glass block for storage,
  • a full-height mirror and a soft pouf,
  • warm, even light that makes it comfortable to choose outfits.

Character of the project

The main character of this apartment is quiet confidence. There are no random objects or flashy elements here. Every decision is subordinated to comfort, tactility and a sense of personal space.

The interior suits a client who:

  • values privacy and calm evenings at home,
  • prefers soft light and deep tones to bright colours,
  • wants a modern, masculine space without clichés.

CYFR created an apartment in JBR that precisely matches the brief: a cozy, dark-accented home where you can disconnect from the rhythm of Dubai and feel grounded and at ease.
